Joaquin, an old engineer, dies searching for the remains of a Spanish galleon which sank in the 18th century. In his will, he leaves the ship to his illegitimate son, 38-year-old Juan. The natural heirs file an injunction against the will, even prepared to use unethical methods to get what they believe is their due. Juan decides to search for the galleon which cost his fathers life. In doing so, he faces two challenges: the fight with Juaqins legitimate family to keep his ship and to find a sunken galleon said to contain a fabulous treasure.
